An iron cross paty constructed of silver with a blackened iron core, the obverse centre bearing a sprig of three oak leaves and the 6 oclock arm bearing the date 1939, with a ribbed border and smooth edge, the reverse is plain and bears a vertical pinback with a flat wire catch, 44. 10 mm (w) x 44. 16 mm (h), weighing 16. 3 g, very fine.
