We located a disused track not far from Marfa in West Texas stretching all the way to Presidio on the Mexican border

I am not sure how close to perfect it is

It’s a very difficult image to replicate and I hope it will stand the test of time

There are many parts to the image that contribute to its strength such as the dust that the lion has kicked up or the late afternoon light on the water reeds. But most of all, it is the lion in full flight that is magnificent.
