Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, overlaid by a central U Boat set over a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 47. 95 mm (w) x 46. 18 mm (h), weighing 20. 0 grams, in extremely fine condition.
