Stilleven met knollen Aquarel New York and AmsterdamChris Lanooy (1881 1948) was a Dutch artist from Sint Annaland in Zeeland. He was not only a painter, but also a draughtsman, sculptor, and stained glass artist. Lanooy received his training at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, where he studied under the renowned architect and artist Pierre Cuypers, among others. During his life, Lanooy lived and worked in Loosduinen, Germany, Gouda, Purmerend, Epe, and Leerdam.
